– When you use gym equipment;
– When booking classes, courses, workshops, training plans and physical assessments;
– When our teams take pictures of you in the gym, part of an event or in a class (your authorization will be requested in advance).
We may also collect, combine or acquire your information from other organizations such as Google and Social Media.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
The information we collect about you is necessary to create your Membership Account and to register with our gym. This information allows you to be identified as a member of Almada Fitness Center and includes:
– Name, date of birth, gender, email address, postal address, telephone number and if you need access for reduced mobility;
– Credit or debit card information, information about your bank account number. We do not store your bank or credit card details on our servers;
– Your records of use and duration of visits;
– Your preferences for specific products, services or interests when you tell us what they are – or when we assume what they are, depending on how you use our products and services;
– Your contact with us, such as a note or recording of a call you made to our call centre, an email or other records of any contact you have with us;
– Your membership information – such as dates of payments due and received, the services you use, and any other information related to your account.
HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION?
We will use your personal information to provide the services, products or information you have requested, for health and safety, security and administration purposes, to improve your website experience and marketing. We may need to share your information with our service providers, partner organizations and agents for these purposes. We may use your information to:
– Identity verification as part of your membership application;
– Process your membership application through our software;
– Charges for using our services as part of your membership;
– Keep you informed about our services, including operational issues related to your membership;

– Confirmation of your participation in group classes, workshops or others;
– To share photos of gym events on our social networks (your permission will be asked before any photos are taken);

– Understand how you use our services, to help us develop relevant and up-to-date services;

– Operate our facilities in a safe and secure manner.
We will store your information while you are a Member of Almada Fitness Center, or after your membership is canceled and to meet our legal requirements, including health and safety, financial auditing, anti-fraud and money laundering regulations. We will store your information for a maximum of 6 years from the last account activity. An ‘activity’ can be classified as access to the gym, a payment made to the member account or a comment added to the membership after contacting Almada Fitness Center. We may contact you about Almada Fitness Center services during those 6 years if you have not opted out of receiving marketing communications from us.
BASIS OF LEGAL PROCESSING
Brightplanet, Lda (Almada Fitness Center) has the following legal bases to process, store and retain your personal data:
1 – Regarding your membership to Almada Fitness Center:
1.1 – your explicit and freely given consent for the specified purpose of membership and use of the Almada Fitness Center facilities;
1.2 – processing is necessary for the execution of your membership contract with Almada Fitness Center;
1.3 – processing is necessary due to legal obligation to which Almada Fitness Center is subject;
1.4 – processing is necessary for the legitimate purposes of Almada Fitness Center or by third parties.
2 – Regarding your personal data relating to your health:
2.1 – your explicit and freely given consent for the specified purpose of membership and use of the Almada Fitness Center facilities;
2.2 – the processing is necessary for reasons of public interest in the field of public health, including cross-border threats posed by Covid 19;
2.3 – processing is necessary to protect your vital interests.
3 – Regarding your data retained after the end of your membership:
3.1 – processing is required by legal obligation to which Almada Fitness Center is subject.

4.1 – processing is necessary for the legitimate purposes of Almada Fitness Center or by third parties.
OPT OUT
Almada Fitness Center will only send information related to your membership. We will not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes unless you consent. If you cancel your Almada Fitness Center membership, we will only send you information that we think will be of interest to you. If you wish to opt out of receiving marketing messages from us or if you are no longer a member and wish to withdraw your consent to receive marketing, please contact us by email at geral@almada-fitness-center.pt.
